Lancaster County recently issued the following announcement.

  1. Keith N. Roach c/o Roger Mc Kinley, Sr., 691 Mill Point Drive, Heathsville, VA 22473; requests permission to construct an 80’ linear foot riprap revetment along the shoreline of Greenvale Creek. Located off VSH 354 (River Road) on Greenvale Road. Tax Map# 20G-3-1. VMRC# 21-1800.
  2. Daniel J. Ludeman c/o Joseph Scott, P.O. Box 315, Kilmarnock, VA 22482; requests permission to construct a 65’ linear feet of riprap revetment and replace 620’ linear feet of timber bulkhead along the shoreline of Carter Creek. Located off VSH 632 (John Neck Road) on Snowbird Lane. Tax Map # 33-197 & 198. VMRC# 21-2104.
  3. Leland T. and Marion James c/o Roger Mc Kinley, Sr., 691 Mill Point Drive, Heathsville, VA 22473; requests permission to construct one 80’ linear foot riprap sill and one 34’ and one 96’ linear foot riprap revetment along the shoreline of the Eastern Branch of Carter Creek. Located off VSH 635 (Steamboat Road) on The Lane. Tax Map # 34-20B. VMRC# 21-2135.
  4. Graham H. Neal, Jr. c/o Joseph Scott, P.O. Box 315, Kilmarnock, VA 22482; requests permission to install a 110’ linear foot geo tube sill pumped with dredge spoil and utilize 100 cubic yards of dredge spoil to establish a wetland planting area landward of created sill area and plant 1,200 sq. ft. of spartina alterniflora along the shoreline of Church Prong off Carter Creek. Located off VSH 709 (Gaskins Road) on Greentown Road. Tax Map # 27-196. VMRC# 21-2233.
The Wetlands Board meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room at the Lancaster County Administration Building, 8311 Mary Ball Road, Lancaster, Virginia. The meetings begin at 9:30 AM.

Instructions for Making Public Comment

Electronic Participation Meetings are conducted in a Zoom webinar format in which the board members and certain members of County staff ("panelists") may be visible on camera and will be able to speak, while the press corps and members of the general public ("attendees") will be placed in a "view-only/listen-only" participation mode.

When applicable (depending on the type of meeting being conducted), members of the public who wish to state their comments or questions must ask to be recognized by clicking the "Raise Hand" button near the bottom of the Zoom interface window. Telephone callers will be able to raise their hands by pressing *9 on their telephone keypad. Upon being unmuted, citizens should provide their name and district in which they reside and then state their question or comment.

Inappropriate or offensive comments or language will result in immediate dismissal from the meeting.
