Lancaster County recently issued the following announcement.

  1. WITHDRWAN BY APPLICANT - Application for change of zoning district classification from R-1, Residential, General, to C-1, Commercial, Conditional, by Jesse Davis for a 6.843-acre parcel with improvements identified as tax map # 28-189, located off VSH 647(Chases Road) and Route Three in District Three.
  2. Application for change of zoning district classification from C-2, Commercial to C-1, Commercial, by Kenneth Kuykendall & Andrea Banks for a .693-acre parcel with improvements identified as tax map # 28-213, located off Route 200 (Irvington Road) in District Five.
  3. Application for change of zoning district classification from C-2, Commercial to C-1, Commercial, by Kellum Farm Markets, LLC., for a .829-acre parcel with improvements identified as tax map# 28-214, located off Route 200 (Irvington Road) in District Five.
  4. Determination of Substantial Conformance to the Lancaster County Comprehensive Plan pursuant to §15.2-2232, Code of Virginia, for a Utility Scale Solar Facility Special Exception by Brian Keith Harris and Shelba H. Jones c/o Borrego Solar, requesting a proposed 3-megawatt, 24.5-acre (site 1), and a 2 megawatt and 12-acre (site 2), respective solar facilities on a 118-acre parcel, tax map# 28-110, located off VSH 1036 (Harris Drive) in District Four.
  5. Update to the Lancaster County Capital Improvement Budget for the period FY 2023-2027. A summary of the proposed Capital Improvement Budget update can be below (PDF format) at a later time.
Unless otherwise noted, the Planning Commission meets on the third Thursday of each month in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room at the Lancaster County Administration Building, 8311 Mary Ball Road, Lancaster, Virginia.

As an alternative to Zoom webinars, most public meetings can also be viewed live or at any later time on the county's YouTube Channel (live stream is view only - no public participation).

Instructions for Making Public Comment

Electronic Participation Meetings are conducted in a Zoom webinar format in which the commission members and certain members of County staff ("panelists") may be visible on camera and will be able to speak, while the press corps and members of the general public ("attendees") will be placed in a "view-only/listen-only" participation mode.

When applicable (depending on the type of meeting being conducted), members of the public who wish to state their comments or questions must ask to be recognized by clicking the "Raise Hand" button near the bottom of the Zoom interface window. Telephone callers will be able to raise their hands by pressing *9 on their telephone keypad. Upon being unmuted, citizens should provide their name and district in which they reside and then state their question or comment.

Inappropriate or offensive comments or language will result in immediate dismissal from the meeting.
