36

Gracie Ellis continues to bring in postseason honors as she has now been named to the NFCA All-Region VI First Team. The ODAC Pitcher and Rookie of the Year has had an incredible first year and has helped No. 16 Randolph-Macon reach the super regionals of the Division III Championship.

She most recently was named Most Outstanding Player of the Ashland, Va., Regional won by the Yellow Jackets. She went 3-0 in three games with a 1.00 ERA and 17 strikeouts.

Overall she sports a record of 22-5 with three saves, an ERA of 1.23, and an eye-popping 229 strikeouts. She's thrown two no-hitters this season, one of which was a perfect game that garnered her National Pitcher of the Week honors by the NFCA.

She finished the regular season in the top 10 nationally in strikeouts and strikeout-to-walk ratio. She was also No. 25 nationally with 9.5 strikeouts per seven innings. Her 0.79 WHIP was No. 15 in the nation, and her 4.58 hits allowed per seven innings was No. 30.

Ellis and the Yellow Jackets will play in the super regionals this weekend at Eastern Connecticut State.
