How many students were enrolled in 12th-grade in Lancaster County in 2023-24 school year?

There were 63 12th-grade students enrolled in Lancaster County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 32.3% fewer than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Lancaster High School was the only school that welcomed 12th-grade students in the county.

Within Lancaster County schools, the largest number of students were found in 11th-grade, while pre-kindergarten had the least students.

Statewide, Lancaster County ranked 119th in enrollment numbers. It was also ranked 119th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
