The Randolph-Macon women's volleyball team has released its schedule for the 2022 season. The Yellow Jackets will play a 26-match slate, eight of which are at home to go along with seven true road matches and 11 neutral site affairs.
Randolph-Macon will open the season with a road contest at Mary Washington on the first of September. Just 24 hours later, the Yellow Jackets will compete in the Virginia Wesleyan Tournament in Virginia Beach, hosted by Virginia Wesleyan, in field that features the hosts along with Greensboro, Millsaps and Southern Virginia.
From there, R-MC returns home for a non-conference clash with Meredith (Sept. 7) at home before opening Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play with a home match with Eastern Mennonite (Sept. 13). The Yellow Jackets then travels to The Garden State to take part in the Stevens Institute of Technology Tournament that sees the hosts, William Paterson and Montclair State in a three-match slate in the two-day event.
The schedule turns back around to a full slate of ODAC affairs, starting with a stretch of three home contests that sees Virginia Wesleyan (Sept. 21), newly added member Averett (Sept. 23) and closes with Guildford (Sept. 24). University of Lynchburg comes next for the Yellow Jackets in a midweek match (Sept. 28) before Ferrum comes to Ashland on the final day of the month.
ODAC play continues into the month of October as Roanoke comes to Crenshaw Gymnasium on the first before R-MC hits the road for a five-game road stretch. Randolph (Oct. 6) opens the stretch before Washington and Lee (Oct. 11), Hollins (Oct. 14) and Bridgewater (Oct. 15) and Juniata (Oct. 16) at the Bridgewater Invitational closes out the road trip.
R-MC closes the ODAC schedule with a final home match with Shenandoah (Oct. 19) before two final events the final two weekends of October to round out the regular season. A trip to Newport News is the first of two, as the Yellow Jackets see Messiah and Christopher Newport in a tri-match hosted by CNU. The final event is the Emory Tournament down in Atlanta, Georgia, as Macon clashes with Berry on day one before day two brings Oglethorpe and Birmingham-Southern.
