Kagey's Career High 28 Points Lifts Women's Hoops over UW-Oshkosh
The Randolph-Macon women's basketball team began winter break with a matchup with Wisconsin-Oshkosh in Daytona Beach on Monday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets led for all but six minutes to take home a win over the Titans.

How it Happened:
- The Yellow Jackets fell behind in the first quarter, down 10-4 after six minutes of play, but ended the quarter on a 11-2 run over three and a half minutes led by Marisa Ziegler (Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll) hitting a couple threes to regain the lead after 10 minutes.
- R-MC kept the pedal down in the second, beginning the frame on a 7-2 run, but the Titans brought it back within two before R-MC could answer and take a 25-21 lead into halftime. Catherine Kagey (Roanoke, Va./Faith Christian) led the way with eight points in the second quarter and 10 points in the half.
- The lead was extended out to 10 halfway through the third, as R-MC wouldn't let the Titans back into it. Oshkosh got out onto a 6-0 run to cut it to four, but R-MC extended the lead back to seven at the end of the third quarter.
- The Yellow Jackets never wavered in the fourth, as Kagey had 12 straight points for R-MC to close out the game as the Yellow Jackets put the game away with solid defense and free throws.
- R-MC shot 45% from the field and 40% from three in an impressive offensive performance.
- Kagey notched her fourth double double of the season, setting a career high in points with 28 to go along with 10 rebounds to lead Randolph-Macon.
- Ziegler and Jane Elkins (Annandale, Va./Bishop Ireton) pitched in eight points, while Julianna Park (Fairfax Station, Va./Davidson Day) added six.
- The Yellow Jackets outrebounded the Titans 33-24 and had 11 assists to their six.
